There is two ways to get Gozo, one of them is through Gozo Ferry operated by Gozo Channel Company. The trip takes about 30 minutes going across the port of Mgarr on Gozo and Cirkewwa, the northernmost tip of Malta. The service is used for goods, tourism and commuting.

Gozo Channel provides a vital "LIFE LINE" between the islands of Malta, the mainland, and Gozo. Its modern fleet includes three state of the art ferries, M.V. Ta' Pinu (delivered March 2000), M.V Gaudos (delivered February 2001), and M.V. Malita (delivered March 2002). Passenger and vehicle service is provided all the year-round between Mgarr Harbour (Gozo) and Cirkewwa (Malta) including Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays together with a night service throughout the year. Gozo Channel offers a comprehensive Roro Passenger Service for foot passengers, car and car passengers as well as cargo vehicles, including hazardous cargo.

The other alternative is Harbour Air Seaplanes operates daily scenic flights around Malta and Gozo from the Valletta Waterfront.

Directions from Airport: Follow signs to Gozo - towards the most northern point of Malta -CIRKEWWA - Take the Ferry and disembark in Mgarr Harbor - Crossing the Gozo takes about 25Minutes.

Getting Around

There are a number of options for getting around Gozo, it is possible to do by car, bus, bike, motorcycle, taxi and boat.

By Bus:
There are buses operating along circular routes, leaving from and returning to Victoria. The public bus service in Gozo is a good way to get around because they go to most of the outlying villages.

By Car:
Maybe the best way to go around Gozo is to rent a car because it allows freedom and flexibility to explore the farther places of the island. The are several car rental agencies in Gozo, cars can be rented with or without a driver. Driving is on the left.

By Bike and motorcycle:
It is also possible to hire bikes and motorcycles in Gozo. This is another great way for exploring the island but it is important to make sure to wear at least a helmet because accidents are frequent. There are also many places where to rent a bicycles and motorbikes.

By Taxi:
Taxis are also available for exploring Gozo; although this could be more expensive, the fares are based on distance which are regulated for government and are standard for all companies, even that it is recommended to make sure to agree on a price before taking the service.

By Boat:
Water vehicles for recreation or transportation are available for hire; this includes boats, jet skis, canoes, sea kayaks and windsurfing boards.

By Helicopter:
This is a wonderful to get around the island. The helicopter service also offers sightseeing flights for 20 minutes and 40 minutes. To explore the island in helicopter is more than a simple flight; this is a great unforgettable experience because it is possible to enjoy the marvelous aerial view of the Maltese island.
